The city is well known for its Malli (jasmine) flowers, used in perfumes, garlands, and religious rituals. Madurai’s unique jigarthanda, a delicious cold sweet drink, is also loved by locals and tourists alike. Other well-known products include Sungudi sarees, cotton textiles, and various traditional crafts.
